GPS Auto Tracker Technology Saves A Life

The use of GPS auto tracker technology, business, fleet managers and individuals is growing daily. The savings in maintenance, labor, insurance and fuel costs are enormous, if properly applied. Real-time GPS more than paid for itself the first few days it is busy. Some companies are even able to reduce the size of their fleets for greater efficiency. Everyone knows that means more efficiency, a better end result. However, there are additional benefits with aReal-time GPS system.

Recently, a large electrical contractor that more than 40 trucks contracted a 1000 square mile area is active, and automatically installs a real-time GPS tracker system in all vehicles. Most employees can take their work vehicles home after work. That saves the company both fuel and labor costs per day. Many of the employees felt that the company is playing big brother and the intrusion into their privacy. Some have even suggested that they would immediately leave the systemhas been installed.

Once the tracking system was activated and the fleet managers trained in the application, the company began to find ways to reduce costs. Staff found that the system is not as disruptive as they had imagined. Make quick use of the staff and resources, began the company more efficient and contracts were completed in less time. As a result, the company could offer more than extra work.

Last November there was another advantage of using the GPSauto tracker technology that nobody from the company expected. After a normal day of work an employee did not come home to dinner at the usual time. His wife gave it to the first one as an extended work related, to delay. After a few hours, they tried, by taking him on his cell phone but was told that the phone is not in operation. Later she called worried that her husband asked his superiors if he knew where her husband, he was not, of course, is that no one was workinglate.

Shortly after receiving the call the supervisor went online and asked to download the map from the GPS tracking service companies. He quickly found the missing vehicle from the highway. After several phone calls to the lack of staff, without an answer, he went to investigate.

With his laptop and GPS, he went to the exact position that the tracking system had indicated. However, coming on the scene was not a company truck. TheSupervisor checked the tracking information and even contact with the service companies for their support. It was suggested that the tracking device had to be pushed and fell out of the vehicle at this location. When, during the supervision took a flashlight and then went to search. Instead, you find the device with his flashlight to the back of the vehicle are reflected company headlong into the ditch. The missing man was inside and trap was still alive.

Personal emergency responsearrived shortly afterwards to free the injured man took him to the hospital in serious condition. The employee survived the accident and is recovering at home. He hopes to return to work in the near future. Probably not have survived after the law enforcement and rescue personnel to the employee, unless he at the time he was discovered, were found.

Car GPS Tracker technology has been developed to help businesses and individuals in managing their vehicleResources. But as has been noted, there is an additional benefit that offers this new technology. It may even save lives.
