What are the prospects for the availability of fossil fuels?

I think this article is comparable to the people who are looking slowly on the highway to a car accident. They are not involved in the accident, but you are certainly curious about what is happening. At this stage, we can sense the presence of a disaster, but we do not have enough information to feel that we can get committed to. My push to adopt renewable energy sources based on our continued pollution of the environment by burning fossil fuels. We know that weneed to slow down this pollution so that our quality of life severely impaired. It is a piece of information is needed to prod us into action, and that's how long we have before we run the fossil fuels? As a current member of the Earth, I am concerned that we leave future generations with sufficient energy to bridge the gap from fossil to renewable fuels. This is for me to look at the car wreck. How long must we be before we, acting in the wreck it?

TheMajority of Americans believe that climate change is a problem and that global warming is real. But there is still no sense of urgency. Each year the U.S. emits CO2 that the equivalent) of the weight of 1.2 billion elephants equals (2 trillion pounds with the average size of elephants. It is time to stop ignore 1.2 billion elephants in the room. It is time for a plan that renewable energy will adopt at a pace in order to stabilize the environment from CO2 emissions and then to implement, hopefully, beginThey reduce the amount of pollution we have this plan with an eye how long will it take to manage our reserves of fossil fuels. Once we pass them we can then look to the future generations, and inform them: "Here is the plan."

The development of modern civilization is dependent on both the availability and promotion of energy. We have a progression of animal and steam power plants, incineration and power generation and witnessed the use of alternativeEnergy sources. Given our reliance on foreign energy sources, it is also important to understand the impact of energy consumption on the environment. All aspects of energy, the way it is produced, distributed and consumed, affecting local, regional and global environments on land use and degradation, air pollution and global climate change through greenhouse gas emissions.

In the foreseeable future it is highly likely that fossil fuels will remain our greatest source of energy. However,Fossil fuels are finite resources, and there is concern not only about the domestic supply and U.S. dependence on foreign supplies, but also with the rising cost of these fuels. Research on the longevity of fossil fuels is an exciting adventure in itself. I will touch on some of the theories, before I close this series of articles. Given the scope of one or two decades, is the best summary of the longevity of fossil fuels in Wikipedia, submitted fossil fuels: years of production left inthe floor with the most optimistic reserve estimates (Oil & Gas Journal, World Oil ").

Oil: = 45 years

Gas = 72 years

Coal: 252 years =

With the slack of plus or minus 10 years, which are most forecasts, with the Wikipedia numbers in line. . The popular theory Hubert Summit projects that tend to follow a specific geographic area from a single oil-producing region of the planet as a whole, the rate of oil production is a bell curve. "Olduvairevisited 2008 "by The Oil Drum Blog is a remarkable study. This theory was first laid out by Richard Duncan in 1989, when he noted that global energy markets starts declined per capita in a decade. Olduvai The waveform for oil in 1950, in accordance with Wikipedia projections indicate that the wave form to be completed 2053rd

The energy consumption of a country is proportional to its Gross National Product (GNP). (That is, the higher the GNP of a country, the higher theirConsumption) .. To receive our standard of living, we need the amount of energy we burn now sustain our lifestyle. With the scarcity of fossil fuels, this will require renewable fuels to fill the gap.

How do we hammer this information into a plan? A roadmap should be derived that uses the adoption of solar, wind, geothermal and biomass to our energy needs. Technologies such as CO2 filling in holes should not be accepteduntil they are proved. A plan of renewable energy with fossil fuel use would include realistic for our country to follow.

How do we proceed?

We need to incubate for tax incentives for renewable energy to continue their growth. Our house is the House of Representatives in Congress has a bill on energy tax incentives that expire by the 31st Extended in December 2008 to pass. President Bush threatens to veto this bill, because it taxes the oil industry $ 19 billion U.S. Dollarmulti-billion-dollar profit. The President of the premise is that the oil companies claim that these gains will continue to explore new oil. Politics aside, we urgently need new sources of renewable energy to be found.

We must demand that our local and national leaders to produce action plans for renewable energy. There are pockets of leadership such as Arizona and California. This leadership must be based on a national level in the U.S. to be successful. Once this is achieved we willwell on the way for future generations.
