Beauty on the Move - Women in Wheelchairs

Once a society viewed disabled people as dependent, not contribute to society. This has changed considerably. Today, people with disabilities, particularly women in wheelchairs have begun, this perception stigmatized destroy with amazing accomplishments. In addition, manufacturers have developed designer chairs to emphasize the incredible beauty and strength of these women.

Had last year in New York designers with a fashion show explicitly instructed to view these chairs. The show washosted by four women who founded Discovery for Design, a non-profit organization improving the lives of women who rely on wheelchairs paid. One of these women, Marilyn Hamilton, is the co-inventor of the Quickie wheelchair. The other three sports, arts and business dynamo who had experienced traumatic injuries and ended up in a wheelchair.

This fashion show was not only allowed, stylish dedicated to wheelchairs, but also fashionably designed clothing ensembles specifically createdflatter women who spend a significant amount of time in a wheelchair. The "roll" models, four women from across the country had chosen to show off and inspiring power and endurance, despite their health problems or accidents.

One of this fascinating woman, Jenny Smith, is experiencing an accident while practicing gymnastics. MicheleBoardman is a young woman diagnosed with muscular dystrophy. She was confined to a wheelchair by age 12. Nevertheless, they fulfilled their dream of attending school and plans to pursue a pediatric genetic counselor. She was one of nine young people around the world honored by the Yes I Can! Foundation in 2004.

The fourth model, Rosemary Rosetti is a successful woman whose life in a roundabout way, the falling of a huge tree, she pressed the spinal cord during a bike ride. After her recovery,They began to discuss their journey into the world to live life to stay active in a wheelchair. She has published a book on this subject and was recently crowned Ms Wheelchair America.

These women are a tribute to the amazing strength and beautiful journey, from the women in her wheelchair in the situation. Her story is truly an inspiration to us all.
